Who is the guild Administrator?
Ramsonne is the Administrator of Evolution. Along with the Overseers, he guides the guild chapters. Additionally, he maintains the website, forums, and voice server(s).
Who are the Overseers?
The Overseer group is comprised of the members of Evolution of the highest rank. They assist the guild administrator in guiding the guild.
Who are the Guild Leaders?
You can read about the Leadership structure on our Charter page.
What are forum polls used for?
Evolution is not a democracy. However, the guild exists for the sake of improving the playtime of its members as a whole. So at times, the leadership will offer a poll if they do not believe they have a firm understanding of what the majority wants and the results weigh into their decision.
How can I express a complaint I have about a member, leader, or the organization?
Anyone is welcome to contact one of the Overseers or the guild Administrator via private message on our forums or through the contact menu on this website. You can expect a reply back within 24 hours.
Why can't I connect to your Ventrilo server?
We have a link to our Ventrilo server in the link menu to the left. However, you might be required to have the Administrator create a User Account for you, or enter the server password. Contact an Overseer or the Administrator for assistance.
Do I need to read the forums?
Absolutely. The guild forums are the primary means in which the leadership and members communicate with one another. All guild and chapter announcements are made there. If you are consistently not in-the-know, you will prove a liability to the guild and forfeit your membership. We are all adults and responsible to each other. There will be little hand-holding.
Is it true Evolution has a Twitter account?
Yes. http://twitter.com/KoA_Evolution. We use it to make announcements to our membership. Often, the tweet will be nothing more than a link to the announcement made in detail on our forums. All members and friends ought to "follow" the Evolution Twitter account.
What is the difference between Chapter, Branch, and Guild?
The guild is the permanent organization lead by the Administrator and Overseers. They guide the Chapter leader and High Council that manage each of the gaming chapters we create. Each of the gaming Chapters belong to one of our two Branches. One Branch is intended strictly for players who play aggressively and with lots of availability. The other Branch caters to more relaxed playstyles and availability.
What is "donate" about?
Designing, maintaining, and hosting our forums, website, etc. requires hours of effort each week. If you partake in any of the guild resources, please send in a donation from time to time using our secure Paypal account.
What is the Hall of Honor and the Member Awards?
The Hall of Honor is our web based system that visually tracks the commendations our Members earn over time, throughout all of the games we play in. The medals and ribbons all have a point value attributed to them that are tallied on each player's respective page. The High Council of each chapter make recommendations for awarding medals and ribbons to the Overseer team that ultimately dispenses them. If you think you have earned an award and it's not listed on your profile page, contact one of your High Council members or an Overseer.
How are new gaming Chapters chosen?
The Administrator and Overseer team make decisions as to what games we will play in. We are constantly on the lookout for new games to play. Typically, the decision is based off of popularity and excitement amongst our membership. If you know of a game that is in developement or has already been released and think Evolution would enjoy playing it, mention it to one of the Overseers or the Administrator. Or better yet, make a post about it on our public MMO General forum and private message an Overseer to take a look at your post. The more detailed your post is in describing the game, particularly if you have played/beta-d the game, the better!
Where can I view Evolution's Member Agreement?
You can view our Member Agreement on our website. In short, it says that anything gaming related you offer to the guild or its members for use while a member of our organization remains the property of our organization even after you leave. This is to protect against individuals trying to offer items as seemingly donated efforts and then at a later time requesting remuneration. We are a gaming group. We are non-profit organization. We play to have fun.
What happens to my Guild status if I leave/get kicked from a Chapter?
This depends on the circumstances. There are times, for instance, where a member might have a personality conflict with someone in leadership of his gaming Chapter. If the individual leaves the Chapter and plays elsewhere, so long as it is done responsibly, he may still remain in Evolution. He can play with us in other Chapters and so forth. As another example, if any member of any Evolution Chapter does anything to harm the guild, he risks losing global membership and being kicked from all Chapters permanently.
